BOM # 1 Part 2

Here are three more Framed Hexagons.
These are part two of the Framed Hexagon Club from Designs by Fee.

I spoke about her in my last post.

These have been very inspirational and much fun to do.

I have also done.......

this embroidery.

I was first introduced to African Folklore Embroidery a number of years ago at Road to California.

This year I had the good fortune to attend Road to California for a second time.
I had a grand time, saw lots, learned lots, and took two classes from the owner of African Folklore Embroidery.

In the classes we learned about the origins of the designs and the people of South Africa.
(Not the South Africa that is in the news these days.)
The designs come from the tribal women in South Africa.
They put the designs on the fabric.
They dye the pearl cotton and other threads that are used in the embroidery.
This is their work that helps provide suitable housing and other needs for themselves and their families.

You can find out about African Folklore Embroidery here.

Enjoy!

Have a super great sewing and stitching day!
