I was able to take a paper piecing class from Marsha Bray. Marsha taught us a method of paper piecing that she learned from Judy Mathieson. This method eliminates the need to tear out papers while creating perfect piecing.
This is the flower that we made. We made two while in class. Then our homework was to make two more. I put my four flowers into this pillow.
I love the bright pink, yellow, and green.
Enjoy!
Have a super great sewing and stitching day!
Is this the same freezer paper technique that Cindy L. was talking about? Sounds interesting...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cushion. The paper piecing method sounds intriguing.
ReplyDeleteLovely pillow. This method of PP sounds like something I want to learn. I'm checking the link. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention, Nancy! I'll be teaching this class at The Quilted Fox twice in the next couple of months--August 24 and September 23. You can see the details at http://www.quiltedfox.com/classes.htm.
