Changes

There has been a lot to think about lately, borders, sewing, Paducah, a wedding.
This is the new wallpaper border in the kitchen.

Brightens up the kitchen just above the counter top.

Then...
this table runner top went from this...

to...


this.
Note the tiny strip of green around each block.

I took the borders and sashing off and added a tiny green flange around the blocks.  Then I put the borders and sashing back in place.  This made the blocks stand out more and added some much needed pop.  I have the back ready and hope to do some quilting soon.

I missed the big wedding as I was getting ready to visit the American Quilters Society Quilt Show in Paducah, Kentucky.
It was a great show as always with stunning, gorgeous, fantastic quilts.

  1. Love your tabletopper. Isn't it amazing how that one little change made such a big difference. Like that wallpaper too! Sorry you missed the wedding. I'm sure you've seen it by now. That's all that's been on TV. Thanks for the link. I'm on my way.

    The flange makes a big difference. The runnner looks great.
    The wall paper border looks great. It looks like a shelf in the photo.

  4. Love the wallpaper, it really does look like a shelf. The runner is gorgeous, I much prefer it with the flange. Its amazing the difference its made.Glad that you had a wonderful time at Paducah. I'm off to take a look at those winning quilts!
