Word Up Sewing

This is my Word Up project.
It is a project that involves words the same as Kelly's Word Up Sewing Party.
I got this project pattern from Snickerdoodle Dreams from Australia.
The fabric I won in a giveaway from an Australian quilter.
So I am making an Australian/American word quilt.

Happiness is one of the words in the project.  It is not my word in the Word Up Sewing party but it is on Kelly's list of words.
My word is 'Peace'.  Peace comes in block 7.
I have a ways to go.

Enjoy!
Have a super great sewing and stitching day!

  3. Oh my gosh, I love the project your working on. Can't wait to see it all finished up. Beautiful fabrics too. I got around to all the blogs listed for the Word Up Party the other night but wasn't able to stop and post, so I thought I'd stop back and say hi. I love the Australian stitcheries too, they have such a variety and so many talented designers. I read and article a while back that said here in America, embroidery has become almost a lost art as everyone has converted to counted cross stitch...Well, kind of true but I think stitchery quilts are turning us around a bit, I hope. I also used to do the intricate cross stitch designs and crocheted lacy doilies but lost the ability. I was however able to re-teach my hands the 'simple' embroidery stitches and I am loving it. Gives me something to do when I'm not able to sit at the sewing machine. Well, I'll be back to see how your project comes along. Hugs...
