This is the center to a small quilt for a little girl. I don't even know this little girl. I have never seen this little girl, not even in a picture.
But...this little girl's dad is doing a favor for my son. So...as a thank you from my son I am making this little girl a quilt. I also made a quilt for her for my son to give as a baby gift. I will talk about that shortly.
This is a quilt that I saw in an Australian quilting magazine that I am making into a sort of "I Spy" type of quilt. I have included fabrics with the types of things that a small child of 12 to 18 months would be learning to recognize. It is also a sort of scrappy quilt as well since much of the fabric I have used here had been used in a previous quilt. (Keep reading to find out more.)
Before this little girl came into the world my son asked me to make a baby quilt as a new baby gift for her and her parents.
Above is the quilt I made as a baby gift. Some of the left over fabric from this quilt are in the "I Spy" quilt at the start of this post.
I have tried to tie the two together just a little. I wonder if they will notice.
Enjoy!
Have a super great sewing day!
Is that first quilt a the D9patch with a difference? Both quilts look great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quilt, and how clever to think of linking it to her baby quilt.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Both are so lovely!
